A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck northwest Lachung in Sikkim on Tuesday evening, authorities said on Wednesday.
The earthquake occurred at 7.23 pm at 31.56 latitude and 87.81 longitude, at a depth of 10 km. The site was 439 km north and northwest of Lachung located at an altitude of 2,700 m and 118 km from Gangtok.
