Former US President Donald Trump has accused the Duchess of Sussex of being “disrespectful” to the Queen and the royal family.
In a wide-ranging interview with politician-turned-anchor Nigel Farage, Trump said he believed the Duke of Sussex had been “used horribly”.
The interview with Trump, 75, whose presidency ended in January 2021, was conducted in Florida on Monday and will be broadcast on GB News.
Speaking of Meghan, Trump said, “I’m not a fan of her. I haven’t been from day one. I think Harry has been used in a horrible way and I think he will regret it one day.”
According to GB News, he added, “I think Harry has been used and used horribly. I think he ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen.”
I’m not a fan of her at all and I don’t think she has much respect for the Queen.

Responding to Farage’s comments about Meghan using a writing paper chaired by the Duchess of Sussex to pressure members of Congress, Trump, the first US official to be impeached twice, said: “She is trying to do things that I think are very inappropriate.”
GB News said he told Farage: “I think she has no respect for the royal family and more importantly for the Queen.”
During the interview, Trump described the Queen as “a great woman, a great person, a historical figure.”
GB News said the interview included Trump talking about Boris Johnson, the presidential election, events in the US Capitol on January 6, black lives matter, the immigration crisis in the US and UK, Antifa, and the question if he would run. office again.
He said Johnson had made a “big mistake” by subsidizing “ridiculous” wind farms to push the UK towards a carbon-neutral economy. The former US president said he still loved the British prime minister but claimed he was wrong to support renewable wind energy.
The UK has become a world leader in wind energy, particularly offshore, and Johnson has pushed Britain to become the wind of what Saudi Arabia means for oil in its quest to reach net zero by 2050.
Investments in technology over the past decade or more have led to the creation of the world’s largest wind farm, Hornsey One, in the North Sea off the east coast of Yorkshire.
But Trump said the UK was destroying its landscape by allowing turbines to be installed. He said: “He’s wrong, Boris is wrong if the wind is blowing on him. He’s making a big mistake.”
The interview airs at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.
