Carragher on Everton struggling
Jamie Carragher entered Everton, calling the club a ‘joke’.
The Blues are hoping to turn around this evening after weeks of disappointing performances, and Carragher has made a harsh assessment of the club’s current state of affairs.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, the former Everton youngster said: “The club is a joke at the moment.
“You said they were a joke, I wouldn’t go that far, but if you go back to the David Moyes era, Everton had something about them. Yes, they didn’t win the cup, but there was spirit around them, fighting, it was a tough place to go. They defended Something.
“Not long after that, Moshiri came in, and because we couldn’t break that roof, because we didn’t have the money under David Moyes, to go ahead with this move…Moshiri comes in and looks at how many managers they had at that time. .
“If you count the in-betweens, he’s had eight coaches. He’s his third manager of football. The money being spent is mind-boggling and it’s only getting worse.”
