There is no way Rafael Benitez can turn the fortunes of Everton to satisfy the Toffees fans.
That is the view of Danny Murphy, who believes the Spaniard has nowhere left to go in his attempt to convince fans he is the right man to lead Goodison Park.

Many Everton fans may not have taken former Liverpool boss Benitez in the first place
Benitez is under heavy pressure as Everton have won just one of their last ten Premier League games.
They seem to have crossed the corner by beating Arsenal, however, and any hope of that appears to have waned after their defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend.
Marcel Brandes’ recent departure as director of football seemed to give the Spaniard more time, but Murphy believes Benitez at Everton will always end in tears.
“It’s doomed,” Murphy said. “He doesn’t have the team to pull it off.

“He can’t take Everton to the level he needs to be happy with this team.
“When he first went there, I thought from a football perspective, what he did before, it seemed like a decent date.
“I forgot, not living in the area and not thinking about it, the Liverpool connection and the things he said about Everton, was always destined to end in chaos.”
While Benitez appears to have lost, or may not have had many Everton fans, he appears to be losing players as well.
Richarlison was visibly frustrated when he was substituted in the second half at Selhurst Park, and was knocked off the field. Meanwhile, Lucas Digne played no role amid the reported feud with the coach.

Benitez later revealed that Richarlison was dislocated because he was suffering from a calf injury
Murphy pointed out that this is not the first time that Benitez has had a conflict with his players.
“Rafa has a history of feuding with players who don’t make the line,” Murphy added.
“Xabi Alonso, Fernando Torres, John Terry, at Real Madrid you had Ramos, Ronaldo and Alonso as the best player in Liverpool.
What he did with Digne, he cut off his nose to spite his face. He probably isn’t playing because he’s questioning him.
“But he put Ben Godfrey, centre-back, at left-back. He can’t play at left-back, Jordan Ayew destroyed him.”
