Sex And The City star Chris Noth has said allegations of sexual assault against him by two different women are “definitely false.”

The American actor, best known for his role as Mr. Page in the hit TV series And Just Like That, has been accused of assaulting two women more than 10 years apart.

The women, who don’t know each other, contacted trade magazine The Hollywood Reporter separately to claim that the 67-year-old’s revenge for his role on the new show has stirred up painful memories.

One of the women, who went by the alias Zoe, said she was 22 years old and working an entry-level job at a high-profile company where Nuth and other celebrities were regularly employed when he assaulted her in his Los Angeles apartment in 2004.

Another woman, with the alias Lilly, was 25 years old and worked as a waitress in the VIP section of a New York nightclub when she met the actor in 2015.

She claims that he assaulted her in his New York apartment.

A statement from Nuth said: “The accusations made against me by individuals I have interviewed for years or even decades are categorically false.

“These stories could have been 30 years ago or 30 days ago – doesn’t always mean no – that’s the line I haven’t crossed.

The meetings were consensual.

“It’s hard not to question the timing of these stories being published. I don’t know for sure why they’re showing up now, but I do know this: I didn’t assault these women.”

Noth has made headlines in recent days after his character in And Just Like That… was murdered after completing the peloton chapter.

He was later featured in an advertisement for the fitness brand.
