An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale struck north-northwest of Andaman and Nicobar Diglipur on Sunday, the National Center for Seismology reported.
“Earthquake Magnitude: 4.9, Occurred on 19-12-2021, 08:49:46 Indian Time, Latitude: 13.82 & Long: 92.69, Depth: 10 km, Location: 69 km northwest of Diglipur and Andaman and Nicobar Island,” NSC tweet.
Last month, a 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck east and northeast of Campbell Bay. According to the NCS, the depth of the tremors is 10 km.
