A Conservative MP has been arrested after his car crashed into a lamppost late at night.
Tory MP Jamie Wallis is under investigation by police after the car crash on Sunday, November 28.
Police have been alerted to reports of a one-vehicle crash at around 1am on Church Road in the sleeping village of Lanpelthian, Wales.
Police later released Mr. Wallis as they confirmed that no one was injured in the aftermath of the incident.
The electoral office of the deputy confirmed that he was arrested, but the authorities did not charge him.

A statement said he had an accident and was “helping the police with their inquiries,” according to Mirror Online.
“While this is ongoing, it will not be suspended,” she added.
South Wales Police said: “A 37-year-old man from Cowbridge has been arrested on suspicion of unfit driving.
He was released under investigation.”

The 37-year-old MP was elected in 2019 and just tested positive for the virus according to his social media page.
A statement on his Facebook page on Saturday said Wallis has postponed an operation with voters until the new year due to the positive result.
