The M4 has reopened after being closed near the Berkshire/Wiltshire border for more than 12 hours after a ‘serious’ crash on Sunday night (December 19).
The westbound motorway is closed to traffic between Junction 14 for Hungerford and Junction 15 for Swindon.
Emergency services were called around 11pm, with the road reopening by 12.10pm on Monday (December 20).
Update: The police have now released an update for this incident
Two cars were involved and a diversion route was set up.
A National Highways spokesperson said: “The M4 in Wiltshire is now open west between J14 Hungerford/Wantage and J15 Swindon/Marlborough following the previous serious collision.”
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “The motorway west of the M4 is now open after a serious collision last night.”
