“Battlefield 2042” was supposed to be “earthquakes, tornadoes” and more

Insider knowledge indicated that Battlefield 2042 was once marked by “earthquakes, cyclones, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions”.

Industry insider Tom Henderson tweeted that EA Dice has reduced extended weather effects to focus only on Hurricanes, the only effect to get into the game.

First spotted by VGC, the tweet continued, “The game needs another year, man.”

Presumably, the original effects were shown as part of the Summer 2020 show, about a year before the final game was revealed.

Battlefield 2042 has had a rough start. The latest update for this year was released earlier this month. This is the fourth of its kind since its launch in November. One previous patch saw over 300 issues addressed. This patch led to server issues that didn’t please fans at all.

A satisfaction survey has been released to players in an effort to find out what went wrong with the franchise. In addition, a new president of the franchise has been announced. Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella took the lead.

Although it wasn’t a good time for Battlefield 2042, other parts of the industry celebrated it. Recently, Clownfield 2042 was spotted on Steam store. It happens after the “crypto crash of 2022” which saw the collapse of states and the formation of the “No Clowns” union. Players battle on Battlefield-like maps filled with mediocre weather and world events.
