It was only a few days before the January transfer window opened and England’s top clubs start spending money again.
Ralph Rangnick has £100m to spend at Manchester United and may be looking to boost his squad as quickly as possible after Monday night’s poor draw with Newcastle.
The priority will be to correct the future of some players such as Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial, Donny van de Beek and Paul Pogba who are all linked to the exit, and Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be giving up on exit hints.
Eddie Howe will also be looking to showcase Newcastle’s new financial strength, with the Magpies linking up with some huge names including Samuel Umtiti and Philippe Coutinho.
Elsewhere, Jurgen Klopp is also likely to prioritize tying Mohamed Salah to a new contract, with the Egyptian still falling behind in committing to Anfield.
We’ll keep you updated with the latest transfer news and rumours.
