It’s been a year since reports first surfaced that Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde were dating and things seem to be getting serious for the couple.

Fans of the 27-year-old former One Direction singer might not have been surprised to see him hooked up with 37-year-old Olivia, as he has long been known for enjoying the company of older ladies.

However, some may be surprised to learn that Harry is said to be taking this current romance more seriously than any of his previous relationships.

Harry is said to have introduced Olivia—who shares a seven-year-old son named Otis and five-year-old daughter Daisy with ex-boyfriend Jason Sudeikis, 46—to his mother, Anne, who is a major step in the couple’s relationship.

A source told The Sun, “This seemed like a great thing at first, two charming people bonding but now it’s clearly so much more than that.

“They slowed down a bit at first but now that things are stable it’s time to do the next thing.

“It’s really exciting for them – and for Harry, the most serious thing ever was about someone.”

The sun also indicates that Harry has grown up near Otis and Daisy.

Meanwhile, some fans have taken the fact that Olivia has met Anne as evidence that Harry is planning to marry his girlfriend sometime in 2022.

Olivia was previously married to Italian-American director Tao Ruspoli between 2003 and 2011 – while her romance with Ted Lasso star Jason lasted from 2011 until 2020 when he was said to have been “surprised” by her surprising romance with Harry.

Although Harry has never married, he has a long history of dating women much older than him – he is known to have been linked in the past to Erin Foster, Tess Ward, Emily Attack and the late Caroline Flack.

He also previously dated Kendall Jenner, Taylor Swift, and Camille Rowe, among others.

While Harry has been relatively straightforward about his current romance, Olivia has been rattled about the happiness she experienced while being associated with the singer.

She told Vogue, “It’s tempting to correct a wrong narrative. But I think what you realize is that when you’re really happy, it doesn’t matter what strangers think of you.

“All you care about is what’s real, what you love, and who you love. In the past 10 years, as a society, we’ve placed far more value on the opinion of strangers rather than the people closest to us.

“I’m happier than ever. I’m healthier than I’ve ever been, and it’s great to feel like that.”

The couple previously faced rumors of their secret engagement earlier this year – while rumors of their planning to get married swirled in July when Olivia told paparazzi at an airport: “I’ll never talk to you.”
