The A38 remains closed after a crash in the early hours of this morning near Buckfastleigh.
According to National Highways, the road is closed west between the A384 at Buckfastleigh and the B3380 near Deancombe.
National Highways: South-West wrote on Twitter shortly before 1 a.m. Friday morning: “Traffic is currently closed on the #westbound A38 in #Devon between #A384 #Buckfastleigh and #B3380 near #Deancombe due to a collision .more updates to follow.”
According to Traffic Service Enrix, the accident involved several vehicles at about 12:30 a.m. Friday.
A statement on Inrix said: “A38 Southbound has closed due to a multi-vehicle accident from A384 (Dartbridge Junction, Buckfast) to A385 (Marley Head Junction, South Brent).
“The road has been closed since about 00:30 on Friday morning.”
The accident came after a serious collision that occurred hours earlier in Haldon Hill.
