Wolves travel to Old Trafford this evening to compete against Manchester United in the Premier League.
It’s a showdown between seventh and ninth in the table with both having gaps in play as Covid continues to force delays across the league.
Wolves have not played since their 0-0 draw with Chelsea on December 19 and United returned to the field on December 27 against Newcastle.
United’s recent form has drawn criticism, but interim manager Ralph Rangnick has found positives from the burgeoning partnership between Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“It is important that these two players are on the plane,” the United boss said. “The work ethic shown today with Mason and Jadon was very important.
“They had to do a lot of passive team drills to make sure we kept them as far out of our penalty area as possible, and that had to start with the four up front.
“When you play with such compensation in the squad, it is important that they work together offensively and have a defensive work ethic and they both did a lot for the team.”
Here’s everything you need to know about the game:
When is it?
The match will kick off at 5:30 pm on Monday 3 January at Old Trafford.
