Magnitude 4.3 earthquake strikes Nepal near Ayodhya, no casualties reported so far

New Delhi: An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck near Uttar Pradesh, Ayodhya on the intervening night of January 6-7 at around 11:59 pm. According to the National Center of Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at 176 km northeast of Ayodhya, i.e. Nepal.

According to the official NCS website, the depth of the earthquake was 15 km. So far, no damage has been reported from anywhere, but more information is awaited.
