She also said: “May God forgive the Irish state because I would never do that.”

Police had earlier issued an appeal for the missing teenager along with the photo.

But a spokesman for Garday confirmed that the search was “paused” after the discovery of a body.

you are not alone

Every 90 minutes in the UK a life is lost to suicide.

It does not discriminate, and it touches the lives of people in every corner of society – from the homeless and the unemployed to builders, doctors, reality stars and footballers.

It’s the biggest killer of people under the age of 35, and it’s more deadly than cancer and car accidents.

Men are three times more likely to commit suicide than women.

However, it is rarely talked about, and it is a taboo that threatens to continue its deadly rampage unless we all stop and pay attention now.

That’s why The Sun launched the You’re Not Alone campaign.

The goal is that by sharing practical advice, raising awareness, and breaking down the barriers people face when talking about their mental health, we can all do our part to help save lives.

Let’s all pledge to ask for help when we need it, and to listen to others… you’re not alone.

If you or someone you know needs help dealing with mental health issues, the following organizations offer support:

A mother of four, Snead confirmed Shane’s tragic death, and paid tribute to him on social media.

She wrote: “My beautiful son, Nephim Nesta Ali Shane O’Connor, the light of my life, has decided to end his worldly struggle today and is now with God.

“May he rest in peace and no one may do the same. My child. I love you so much. May you be in peace:”

She later tweeted a Bob Marley song that she dedicated to Shane: “This is for Cheney. The light of my life. The lamp of my soul. My blue-eyed baby.”

“You will always be my light. We will always be together. No boundaries can separate us.”

‘You are my heart’

After Shane’s disappearance from Dublin Hospital, where his mother claimed he was under “suicide watch,” the singer made a desperate plea for his return.

She said, “Shen, your life is precious. God did not carve that beautiful smile on your beautiful face for nothing.

“My world would collapse without you. You are my heart. Please don’t stop it from beating. Please don’t hurt yourself. Go to Gardai and let’s take you to the hospital.”

“This is a message to my son, Shen. Shen, it’s not funny anymore it’s all lost. You scare me nonsense.

“Can you do the right thing and introduce yourself at Garday Station please. If you are with Shane, please call Garday for his safety.”

“Health, Safety and Environment cannot comment on individual cases, as doing so may reveal information relating to identifiable individuals, in contravention of ethical requirements that compel us to abide by our duty of confidentiality,” the hospital said in a statement.

A spokesperson for Sinead O’Connor said: “Sadly, we can confirm the death of Shane O’Connor.

“We politely ask for our respect and appreciation for Snead, the father of Shen and the Shen family at this most difficult time.”
