Chelsea told the club they would not accept an offer of less than €20m for a player – the idea of ’overweight’

Despite insisting from within the Sergiño Dest camp that he is not ready to leave Barcelona, Chelsea are still linked with him.

It is Mundo Deportivo to continue this saga on Monday, explaining that the Blues are struggling to find a left-back to fill the gap left by Ben Chilwell’s injury.

With Lucas Digne apparently on his way to Aston Villa and Lyon refusing to release Emerson Palmieri from loan, the alternative was to turn to Dest, the right-back by trade.

However, he can play on the left side, having done it for Barcelona, which is why his profile is “gaining weight”.

But for the La Liga side, one thing is clear: “Serginho’s intention is to recover the investment, so they will not accept an offer of less than 20 million euros” for the defender.

They then noted that “although the 21-year-old has expressed his intention to succeed at Camp Nou, the appearance of Thomas Tuchel’s side may make him reconsider his decision.”

We have to wait and see.
