Kathryn Ryan has mocked the backlash Molly May Haig received for comments she made about wealth inequality.

The comedian, actor, and writer recently appeared on Radio Hits where she was asked to share her “inspirational” advice on how to “look on the bright side of life.”

“I mean, I guess it’s not funny,” Ryan said, “but I think gratitude, even in my darkest moments, has always led the way and attracted so much into my life.”

“So any time I get upset or feel like, ‘Okay this isn’t working for me, I want to go to the Maldives’—I don’t have big problems in my life anymore, but I feel like I just remember that I have.”

Ryan continued, “When I had none I realized I had it all, and I think a lot of people feel the pressure of being restricted. And I just think if you focus on what you have, even if it’s only about the health of your loved ones, then you have it all.”

When Radio Hits shared Ryan’s answer on Twitter, the comedian replied, “Internet please, don’t do ‘the same 24 hours’.”

Ryan was referring to the recent reaction to the former Love Island contestant’s comments in The Hague about wealth and poverty inequality.
