Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is “frustrated” and could “go to take the Manchester United job” according to former midfielder Jimmy O’Hara, who was speaking exclusively to Express Sport. The Italian took the helm in north London in November after sacking Nuno Espirito Santo.

Tottenham have not lost in the first division since Conte’s appointment after winning six of their last nine matches and drawing the other three.

On Wednesday night, Conte appeared to be heading for a first loss in training as the north London side trailed Leicester 2-1 in injury time at the end of the match.

However, substitute Stephen Bergwijn scored the equalizer in the 95th minute before scoring the winner two minutes later, sending the Spurs fans into a state of hysteria.

Since then, Conte has urged club chiefs to support him in the transfer market and admitted he hopes chiefs will “listen” to him.

And O’Hara revealed exclusively to Express Sport that he believes the 52-year-old can get out quickly if he is ignored.

But O’Hara, who has played 56 games for the Lillywhites, has criticized Daniel Levy and claimed the Spurs chief is stopping him.

“We always play and fall short – Daniel Levy is always trying to look for a deal,” the 35-year-old added.

“He always leaves it until the last minute. It just winds me up.”

“Get them now because there are a massive six upcoming games and this could be the biggest part of our season.

“We are there. We have a lot of points to beat Chelsea, West Ham and Arsenal.

“We could go into the top four if we sign players – we just have to get them to cross the line. Just spend the dough.”
