Moussa Sissoko apologizes to Watford fans

Moussa Sissoko has apologized to his supporters for Watford’s performance in their 3-0 defeat to Norwich City on Friday night.

After the first half of lower quality, the Canaries shifted through the gears in the second while the Hornets remained stationary, allowing their visitors to overpower them in a humiliating manner.

And while coach Claudio Ranieri has faced questions about his future, having not won a match since November, Sissoko expressed his regrets to the fans on behalf of the team.

“We knew how important that was,” he told the club’s website. “We lost our discipline after the first goal and started doing our own things.

“We want to say sorry to the fans because they came with good enthusiasm and energy but we didn’t show enough to win the match.”

The defeat put the Hornets third in the bottom of the Premier League for the first time this season, but the captain insists they can still get out of their current position.

He continued, “Now we are in third place, so it is difficult but we will continue to work and do our best. We must work, fight and not give up, because it is not over yet. We are not doing enough and we have to do more.”

“We have to work on the training ground and work on what we need to improve. We need to take the points.”
