Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Live: Premier League Updates

Liverpool head to Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, hoping for a third win in a week to start putting pressure on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League. A Reds victory would leave them nine points behind the defending champions with a game in hand, after they drew with Southampton on Saturday. Jurgen Klopp’s side rediscovered their form of late after a slight stutter, beating Brentford last weekend before sending Arsenal in midweek to reach the Carabao Cup final.

For Palace, this has undoubtedly been a season of progress and laying the building blocks for an impressive future, following the summer squad overhaul and the appointment of Patrick Vieira as coach. They are 13th in the table, with only one win out of the last five after they drew with Brighton last time out.

A victory would push the Eagles back into the first half, although the scale of their task is evidenced by the fact that the Reds have won all nine of the last nine encounters between these two teams, including a 3-0 win at Anfield in September. And crushed 7-0 at Selhurst Park last season. Follow all the team news and match action as Crystal Palace host Liverpool below:
