Kin hint the future
After last summer’s epic, Harry Kane will likely remain a name associated with the transfer.
His hopes of winning silver still appear slim at Spurs, but in an interview yesterday he hinted he could stay put as he sees things moving in the right direction in north London.
In an interview with Sky Sports ahead of their defeat to Chelsea yesterday, the England striker made clear his desire to see the club seize a “big opportunity” under Antonio Conte.
“He’s one of the best coaches in the world,” Kane said.
“We haven’t really reached the peak we wanted as a club over the last few years. It’s a huge opportunity now as a team to take advantage of what we have. He’s a coach who demands a lot and I’m sure he’s had talks about getting players he wants here.
“This is up to the Chairman and he is. We need to benefit from having one of the best coaches in the world. As players we have responded well to him and everyone is working as hard as possible to achieve success and that is the ultimate goal for everyone here.”
