A 4.6-magnitude earthquake shook Lombok this morning and tremors were felt by residents on the neighboring island of Bali.

There were no reports of major damage in Lombok, but there were unconfirmed reports of homes and buildings shaking for a while at the height of the earthquake. A widely circulated video shows worshipers at a mosque exiting the building as it shook.

In Bali, residents across the island have reported feeling slight tremors.

There is no doubt that the threat of devastation caused by earthquakes is still fresh in the minds of the citizens of Lombok. In the middle of 2018, two powerful earthquakes struck the island within days of each other, killing 563 and injuring at least 1,000. Hundreds of thousands were displaced from their homes as the earthquakes destroyed the majority of buildings in the northern part of the island.
