Former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique encouraged the team to pursue another high-caliber striker.

The Reds are still waiting for a new contract for Salah, with his deal to expire at the end of next season.

With that in mind, Enrique said further reinforcements were needed in Klopp’s final third, with the former left-back saying he was “worried” about Salah’s situation.

“They still need another player who can play in the top three like Jota, who scores goals and performs well,” he said.

“Personally, Liverpool need another £40m or £50m player to back the top three now. I’m sure if you asked any Liverpool fan they would say the same.”
