Health experts issued a warning to people who contracted the virus last month.

More than four million people tested positive for the virus in England in December as the Omicron variant spread across the country.

Omicron is usually milder than previous variants such as Delta and usually has cold-like symptoms.

Studies show it is milder than other types of the virus, especially among those who have been vaccinated, according to the Mirror.

Health experts have warned those who contracted the virus in December now need to get booster vaccinations.

Booster injections offer the best chance of beating the pandemic, according to health officials. Although government officials and health experts have repeatedly stressed the importance of booster injections, new NHS data shows that 6.3 million people have been missing a booster dose for six weeks or more – mostly because they had just tested positive for the virus anyway.

But those who test positive in December will have to wait 28 days to get a booster dose under the supervision of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunization (JCVI).

Reminders have been sent to more than five million Britons to reserve their boosters.

More than 52.2 million received the first dose, 48.2 million in the second and 37.1 million received booster vaccines.

After the NHS opened the booster dose to everyone on December 15, 10 million Britons applied for the appeal.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has stated that you are 85 per cent less likely to end up in hospital if you have a booster dose.

Professor Stephen Boyce, National Medical Director for the NHS, told The Sun: “If you are one of the millions of people who tested positive in December and were unable to get a booster dose, it is time to move forward with this vital vaccination 28 days after Infection Corona virus disease.

“More than six million people are overdose by at least six weeks.

“While some have had to delay due to infection with the coronavirus, it is still absolutely essential that people get a booster dose in order to increase their protection against reinfection and the risk of prolonged Covid disease.”

Those who qualify may come to the centers without an appointment.

But chemists, GP practices, and large community sites offer openings as well, but reservations are often required.

If you have internet access, you can book online at the NHS booking site and select a time and place that works for you.

You’ll only need time and a day for one slide, but if you’ve recently passed, you should wait four weeks before booking.

People who want to get their booster have to click the green ‘Book Now’ button where they will be asked for their NHS number.

This will make your reservation faster, but if you don’t have it, you can fill in your personal details or make a reservation by calling 119.

Invitations will come by text from the NHSvaccine and include a link to the NHS website, allowing those who qualify to book an appointment at a convenient location.
