A second storm is set to hit the UK within hours, a day after trees fell in gale-force winds Malik killed two people.
The Met Office has warned that another low-pressure system, called Storm Corrie, will bring more weather instability – particularly to Scotland – later on Sunday and into Monday.
Curie will bring winds of up to 90 mph in some exposed coastal locations and mountainous regions of Scotland.

Amber and yellow warnings for severe wind weather apply, which state “Potential Flying Debris” with potential for damage to trees and buildings.
The Bureau of Meteorology said the warning: “Injury and danger to life are possible from large waves and beach material being dumped on coastal roads, seafronts and property.”
Chief Meteorologist Dan Surrey said: “Storm Corey will bring very strong winds to the north of the UK, especially northern Scotland, on Sunday. This comes just a day after Storm Malik moved in, also resulting in a spell of very strong winds.
“Curie Storm will bring winds of up to 90 mph in exposed coastal locations in northern Scotland, with winds of 70 to 80 mph more widely in the north.”
Watch out for the next twenty-four hours.
Robert Colburn, director of emergency response for the Red Cross in Scotland, said he and his team were “ready and on standby” if needed.

He told Sky News that people should be prepared “to take cover for the next 24 hours if necessary”.
“All of these things, anything to do with the weather, you can make your own preparations but you just have to sit back and wait and see what happens when it actually happens,” he said.
“There are a lot of things people can do while preparing – this afternoon, for example, get ready to stay home. If you don’t have to go out, you definitely don’t have to go out. Charge your mobile phone. Get a battery provided Radio and powered lights , just in case the power goes out. Make it easy to prepare snacks at home, and bottles of water.”
It comes after the storm claimed the lives of a nine-year-old boy and a 60-year-old woman.
The young man died after a tree and a man fell on him in Wynothdale, Staffordshire, around 1pm on Saturday.

Both were taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital where the boy died and the man remained for treatment.
Separately, the woman died after colliding with a fallen tree in Aberdeen.
Sky Sports reporter Keith Downey posted pictures of the damage on Twitter after his car crashed into a falling tree.
He wrote: “Fortunately I am safe but things could have been much worse.”
The houses are still without electricity
More than 130,000 homes and businesses suffered from power outages and widespread travel disruption.
Northern Powergrid said Sunday that 19,000 customers remain without power, nearly all of them in Northumberland and County Durham.

The teams are working to repair any damage, but said it’s not as severe as the damage seen by Storm Irwin, making the work less difficult.
