Meghan Markle and Harry Tucker Carlson called ‘enthusiasts’

American talk show host Tucker Carlson has described Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle as “enthusiasts”.

A retired judge also criticized the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as “pathetic” and “irrelevant”, with a former presidential aide to Harry saying “nobody cares” what he thinks of America.

The criticism comes amid speculation that the couple may abandon their $25 million Spotify deal after they criticized “Covid disinformation” that had been “spread” by colleague Joe Rogan.

As rumors persist about their future with Spotify, Fox News talk show host Tucker Carlson has criticized the royal couple, calling Prince Harry “brain dead”.

The angry host blasted: “That annoying fake Duchess of Los Angeles and her brain-dead husband threatened to walk away unless Spotify muzzles Joe Rogan. But they’re not going anywhere.”

“These two guys have a $25 million deal with Spotify in exchange for basically no business.

“So far, we believe they have produced just over 30 minutes of content.

“That means these two guys made about a million dollars for every minute they talked. That’s a good party. It’s very good to leave.”

After Carlson’s stinging rant, host Greg Gutfeld attacked Harry and Meghan when he called the couple “fatal blows.”

On a show called The Five, the host was furious: “They’re a bunch of killer blows.”

His guest, who was retired New York judge Jenin Pirro, called it “pathetic” and “irrelevant”.

“In America, nobody cares what you think,” the former judge said angrily.

The criticism comes after a royal expert claimed Harry and Meghan had “goed for money” on “principles” by sticking to their multi-million dollar podcast deal with Spotify.

Harry and Meghan, who have been backing vaccine rights, signed a lucrative deal with the broadcasting giant to host and produce podcasts valued at nearly US$25m (£18m), in late 2020.

In the wake of the Rogan protest, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex expressed their concerns “to Spotify about misinformation about Covid but said they would continue to work with them.”

They’re stuck between principles or money, royal expert Richard Eden says, according to the Daily Star.

He told Mail + Palace Confidential that the situation had been a “nightmare” for the Sussex family, noting that while they campaigned against disinformation, their decision on Spotify showed that money came first for them.

The royal commentator said: “For years they have been talking about the dangers of misinformation, it has become a real reason to pet them.

Then here they are with Spotify, accused of spreading misinformation through the very popular Joe Rogan podcast.

But Harry and Meghan have signed a very lucrative deal with Spotify worth £18m.

“So, between principles and money, the question is always what they’re going for and it looks like they’ve gone for money.

“They put out kind of nice statements about the dangers of misinformation, but they made it clear that they stick with Spotify. So it kind of looks like Joe Rogan really won.”
