Welcome to football.london’s live coverage of Chelsea on Sunday.
Celebrations would have been going on long into the night in Abu Dhabi last night as the European Champions turned World Champions after they defeated Palmeiras 2-1 after extra time in the FIFA Club World Cup final.
Kai Havertz was the man yet again to score another big goal in a final to win more silverware. On top of this, Romelu Lukaku was able to bag a goal to open up the scoring at the Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium with his powerful header early into the second half from a Callum Hudson-Odoi cross from the left.
The Blues have just under a week now until they are back in domestic action with Crystal Palace the first team to meet the new World Champions after their crowning when the pair face off on Saturday, February 19.
With all of that being said, make sure you keep the blog locked so that you don’t miss a single update or development throughout the day.
