A Magnitude 4 earthquake struck southwest of Malta on Sunday-Monday night, the university’s Seismic Monitoring and Research Group (SMRG) said in a Facebook post.
It happened just before 1am.
The group invited people who felt the tremor to reply on its Facebook page.
No damage was reported.
