Welcome to the Evening Standard’s rolling coverage of day two at the Greatest Show on Turf, which is sure to be a memorable affair.

Today’s feature race is the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase, where the Nicky Henderson-trained Shishkin will battle with Willie Mullins duo Energumene and Chacun Pour Soi in what could prove to be the race of the week.

There’s plenty more action to look forward to on a star-studded Ladies Day at Prestbury Park, with two-time Grand National winner Tiger Roll looking to bow out on a high as he bids for a record-equaling sixth Cheltenham victory in the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase.

The dominant Sir Gerhard showed why he was a big favorite to win the opening Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle and give Mullins an 80th Cheltenham victory, while Facile Vega and American Mike battle in the Wetherbys Champion Bumper.
