North Las Vegas (0.9 km SW of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV): It was like a load bang sound an the whole house shook for at least 30 seconds very load an scary. I didn’t even know we lived on a fault line! | One user found this interesting.

Las Vegas, Sunrise Manor 8:06pm (7.6 km ESE of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / single vertical bump / 1-2 s : I was watching television and it felt and sounded like something hit my mobile home. It was a loud thump,for just a second. I checked the USGS immediately and it showed up about 1 minute later. It was 2.5 at Sunrise Manor at 8:06 I checked back on the USGS site and it has disappeared. Why would that happen when hundreds of people reported it. Not our imaginations. A cover up? Nellis AFB?

NORTH LAS VEGAS (2.4 km NW of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / rattling, vibrating / 5-10 s : I thought someone ran a vehicle into our house. There was a rumbling sound and vibration in the floor, and the walls shook, windows rattled.

Las Vegas (7.6 km ESE of epicenter) [Map] / Weak shaking (MMI III) / rattling, vibrating / very short : My home started shaking. My blue/gold macaw had been restless before and won’t quit screaming now!! Hope there’s not more coming! Across from Nellis Air Force Base.

Sunrise Manor Lake Mead & Christy (10.2 km ESE of epicenter) [Map] / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / rattling, vibrating / 10-15 s : My home sits on a stem wall I felt a vibrating in the floor like someone was running in the next room.. no rolling motions

North Las Vegas (1.7 km W of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) : My walls in my kitchen/ living room shakes and my kids bedrooms, my son heard it through his headphones, and my stuff on my shelf’s went to the edge. It sounded like something hit the side of the house, but nothing was there.

North Las Vegas Nevada (1.7 km ENE of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / rattling, vibrating / 2-5 s : I was sitting on my bed studying when I heard a loud sound and began to feel the bed rock back and forth decreasing in intensity. I rolled with it and then when to check on family. Everyone was good, needless to say! We are from California so this quake was not alarming.???? love and peace.

N Las Vegas (0 km N of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / rattling, vibrating / 1-2 s : shaking and rumbling while watching a movie. Thought I bumped my chair on something when it happened lol

North Las Vegas (13.7 km SSW of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / single vertical bump / very short : It felt like someone might have ran into our house, just a bump that knocked a few items out of place and items falling in the closet.

North Las Vegas (3.2 km ESE of epicenter) [Map] / Weak shaking (MMI III) / vibration and rolling / very short : The wave of shaking came from the north traveled towards the south. It wasn’t very strong but every person that was awake in my house felt it. We could also hear the sound of the quake. I can’t describe it: like and boom and rattle all in one wave.

No Las Vegas (4.6 km WSW of epicenter) [Map] / Very weak shaking (MMI II): Sitting my recliner, lasted maybe 2 seconds.Building shook and stopped. Never felt anything since I have been here, 14 months.

Las Vegas (8.9 km SE of epicenter) [Map] / Weak shaking (MMI III) / rattling, vibrating / very short : Bed and windows started to shake like after shocks wasn’t intense but enough to wake up out of sleep

711 E Nelson North Las Vegas (18.4 km E of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV): My Bed was shaking very hard while I was laying down. Felt like someone was moving my mattress. Hard Shaking with rumbling noise

N. Las Vegas (4.9 km NNW of epicenter) [Map] / Weak shaking (MMI III) / very short : Felt as if a rolling rumbling was going on and went from the back side of the house to the front. Sounded almost like a growing rumble.

North Las Vegas (3.6 km N of epicenter) [Map] / Weak shaking (MMI III) / 1-2 s : Watching a movie downstairs when I felt the couch shake and the floor beneath my feet as well. My parents upstairs felt the house shake slightly as well.

Aliante casino (5 km NW of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / single lateral shake : I was sitting on the couch when I felt a bit of a rumble and then the whole house seemed to shift, once left the once right in quick succession.

NORTH LAS VEGAS (5.8 km ENE of epicenter) [Map] / Very weak shaking (MMI II): My family felt it on the second level in our home and everyone is in different rooms on the second floor

North Las Vegas, Clark, Nevada (3.1 km SSW of epicenter) [Map] / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / single lateral shake / 2-5 s : I was sitting on the couch watching TV. It started on one side of my room … heard it shake toward me across the room.

North Las Vegas (5.4 km SE of epicenter) [Map] / Very weak shaking (MMI II) : Thought someone fell off a bed | One user found this interesting.

Las vegas , sunrise mtn area watching tv / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / single lateral shake / 1-2 s : I was sitting on the couch watching tv and felt the couch shake slightly. I actually wondered if it was a small quake.shaking intensity on scale of 10 probably 4

Las Vegas– The Lakes – Sahara Ave & Durango / not felt : I was on the phone with my friend at the time who lives in North Las Vegas. She felt it and mentioned it, asking me if I felt it. I’m ten miles south away from her and felt nothing.

North Las Vegas / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / single vertical bump / very short : Just a, quick bump with a quick slight horizontal movement. But family members upstairs felt it even more. We live 215 Decatur north area.

North las vegas / Weak shaking (MMI III) / single vertical bump / 1-2 s : Only a few miles away, abrupt shake, felt like something dropped from the sky, lights flickered, felt intense.

89115 / not felt / horizontal (sideways) swinging / 1-2 s : Sitting on couch felt a lateral movement like something fell on my roof or fell on the wall directly behind my couch. Two other people, in two seperate rooms felt it & asked if we felt that. 1 story house with equal reports from 3 rooms. Neighbors came out seeking the same answer on shaking. 89115 in Sunrise Manor is location of experience.

N Las Vegas / Moderate shaking (MMI V) / rattling, vibrating / 5-10 s : I was downstairs and heard things drop from upstairs as the house ratted and shook. I thought somebody dropped something, but that didn’t explain the rattling and shaking. My daughter came downstairs and said what just happened?

Las Vegas 89106 / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / rattling, vibrating / 2-5 s : There was a loud thump in my wall and just felt the floor vibrate like if something hit the wall hard.

North Las Vegas / Moderate shaking (MMI V) / rattling, vibrating / 2-5 s : I was outside in my driveway. I not only felt the earthquake but actually heard it as well. It woke my mother on the ground floor and my 2 cats that were sleeping upstairs came running out of the house.

North Las Vegas / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / rattling, vibrating / 1-2 s : Noise behind me I couldn’t tell what it was. . .and seemed to feel a like rustling of a lot of birds on the roof. . .

North Las Vegas / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / single lateral shake / 1-2 s : I was watching TV and the room shook and the windows ratted. My wife was standing and did not feel it shake. No damage observed. I am located in Silverwood Ranch. North Las Vegas. One mile due north of the North Las Vegas Airport. Crossroads: Gowan Rd and Decatur Blvd.

4810 Spaatz Loop, Nellis AFB NV 89115 / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / single lateral shake / 1-2 s : Sitting in back concrete patio in a chair. House had a muffled boom behind me and I just felt like someone bumped my chair real good. Quite a few aftershocks – little 1 second bumps.
