A 5.6-magnitude earthquake hits Mindanao, Philippines

(Reuters) – A 5.6-magnitude earthquake jolted the Mindanao region of the Philippines early Saturday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) said.

The epicenter of the quake was at a depth of 60 kilometers (37.28 miles), the epicenter said.

EMSC initially estimated the earthquake to be a magnitude of 6.1.
