AVRAM GLAZER has broken his silence regarding the Manchester United takeover – but has warned fans that the club may not be sold.
The owners of the American family at Old Trafford announced last month that they were “exploring strategic alternatives to the club”.

It is understood they would be open to letting Manchester United go for between £6bn and £9bn.
The Raine Group is handling the potential transaction with a complete sale in the pipeline for the first quarter of 2023.
But now the partner has cast doubt on United’s actual sale.
Glazer, Joel’s brother, spoke to The Athletic briefly outside Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar ahead of the World Cup semi-final match between France and Morocco.
“It’s not necessarily a sale, it’s a process and we’re going through that process, so we’ll see what happens,” said the 62-year-old.
Given the number of parties interested and the schedule, Glazer added: “I’m here to really watch the World Cup, but I appreciate your interest in that.
“This is modernization, it’s the process and the process is ongoing.
Again, I’m here to enjoy the World Cup but I appreciate your questions.

Oldham-born chemical tycoon Sir Jim Ratcliffe – a longtime fan with United and worth an estimated £11billion – is also interested after a late failed bid to beat Todd Boyley to secure a £4.25billion bid from Chelsea.
Manager Erik ten Hag has admitted his talks with the current ownership are limited – but hopes the new investment will help him get United competing at the top of the Premier League again.
The Dutchman said: “I don’t talk to them much.
“But I met them and we talked about how we are going to work together and how we are going to achieve our goals.
“I look at the competition around the Premier League, they all have an opportunity to invest. It’s a tough competition between seven or eight clubs.
“This is a change of circumstances when compared to five or ten years ago, so the competition is much tougher.
“Newcastle are coming, even West Ham. They have a huge investment.
“Tottenham for sure and then City and Liverpool. I don’t need to talk about them. Chelsea, I don’t need to talk about them.
“Quickly count seven or eight clubs that can compete in the league. Even at the bottom I don’t see weak teams – they’re all strong. It’s also about strategy, not just money.”
