About two-thirds of Scots oppose the central pillars of Nicola Sturgeon’s gender reform policy, according to a new poll.
A final vote will take place in Holyrood next week, when proposals making it easier for transgender people to change the sex on their birth certificate are expected to become law.
Research YouGov for The Times found voters skeptical about major changes to the Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill, which would allow people to identify themselves in their new gender and lower the age at which people can transition from 18 to 16.
