A slight earthquake of 3.4 magnitude shook Kinnaur district in Himachal Pradesh on Friday night, officials said.
Special Secretary for Disaster Management Sudesh Mukta said the earthquake was felt at around 10:02 p.m. The epicenter was Changu Nikla near Naku in Kinsur.
The depth of the earthquake was 5 km (31.931°N, 78.638°E). The tremors lasted a few seconds, forcing people to rush out of their homes.
Officials said that no loss of life or property has been reported so far.
