Steam’s best-selling game is getting a limited-time sale just before Christmas

The current best-selling game on Valve’s PC platform, Steam, is now on sale for a limited amount of time. To almost no one’s surprise, the best-selling Steam game over the past couple of months has been Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. As the first Call of Duty game to return to Steam in quite some time, Activision hit it off with MW2 by making it available on the PC market. prestigious. And while Modern Warfare 2 was already very popular on Steam without being on sale, Activision made the game a little cheaper just before the holidays.

Between now and December 22nd, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been reduced by 15%. Instead of retailing for its usual price of $69.99, the latest entry in the Call of Duty series can be had for $59.49. Plus, the Vault version of Modern Warfare 2 gets an even bigger discount. Although this version of the game normally costs $99.99, it’s now available at 20% off for $79.99.

While this is by no means the best deal Steam has to offer right now, as we mentioned, what makes this sale notable is that it’s the first deal Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has received since its launch earlier this fall. Since arriving at the end of October, Modern Warfare 2 has been constantly lighting up the sales charts on Steam, but it’s done so without being available at a lower price of any kind. As such, if you’re someone who’s still holding out on buying the game until it sells out, now might be a good time to use this promotion to your own advantage.
