The Conservatives have been accused of “losing control of the economy” as figures show GDP contracting faster than previously thought.
On Thursday, the Office for National Statistics published revised figures for the three months to September showing economic activity contracted by 0.3 percent, compared to a previous estimate of 0.2 percent.
The slowdown also extended into the first half of the year with previous growth estimates revised downward by the new numbers.
