The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot at the US Capitol released its final report late Thursday, explaining why it was recommended that Donald Trump and others face criminal charges over the insurrection.
Ahead of the release, the panel released a trove of transcripts from 34 Trump supporters and allies — including Roger Stone, Alex Jones, and leaders of far-right groups the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers — who appealed to V during all or at least part of their interviews.
Following this initial release, transcripts of Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony before the committee were also published to give insight into how Trumpworld reacted to the prospect of the January 6 investigation and to back up and add to much of what she said at her public hearing earlier this year.
Meanwhile, in addition to the transcripts, Trump’s tax returns have also been released after the House Ways and Means Committee voted on Tuesday to release six years of records. It turns out that the Internal Revenue Service failed to review Mr. Trump during his first two years in the White House. The House has since passed legislation regarding IRS audits of presidents.

1671769858 Report Identifies Pro-Trump Attorney Kenneth Chesebrough as Architect of Fake Voter Conspiracy
The committee’s Jan. 6 report identified pro-Trump attorney Kenneth Chesbro as the original architect of the legally questionable fake-elector plan, according to CNN.
“The fake voter plan emerged from a series of legal memos written by an outside legal advisor to the Trump campaign: Kenneth Chesebrough,” the report said.
It added that Chesbro sent a memo to Trump’s then-attorney Rudy Giuliani after a request from Trump campaign official Boris Epstein about the “president of the Senate” strategy.
The strategy incorrectly asserted that the vice president could choose the electors of the president who would be counted during the joint session of Congress on January 6.
“President Trump In the days immediately leading up to January 6th, Chesebrough — an attorney based in Boston and New York who was recruited to assist the Trump campaign as volunteer legal counsel — was central to putting together the plan,” the report says.
Chesbro’s notes of November 18, December 9, and December 13, shown below, laid the foundation for the plan.

Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson told the House Committee Jan. 6 that the attorney paid by former President Donald Trump’s political organization made a significant effort to press for him to testify in a way that was in the interest of the former president and his allies, including getting her to say no. She recalls things that could be detrimental to Mr. Trump, as she worked to find her job while scheduling her testimony, and even relayed the gist of her testimony to the former president himself.
