Rapper Tory Lanez has been found guilty of shooting hip-hop star Megan Thee Stallion in the foot after a 2020 party in the Hollywood Hills.

The Canadian rapper, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, faces more than 20 years in prison after a Los Angeles jury found him guilty of assault and weapons charges Friday afternoon.

A jury has heard Megan Thee Stallion shot her after she and Tori argued in his SUV after leaving a party at Kylie Jenner’s house.

Meghan, 27, witnessed the controversy intensifying when they both began attacking each other’s music careers.

“I feel like this really rubbed him the wrong way,” the “Sweetest Pie” rapper testified, according to the Associated Press. “He kept screaming and cursing.”

Megan – real name Megan Peete – told a Los Angeles court that Tori fired a gun at the back of her feet and told her to “dance the b****” after she got out of his SUV and walked away from her.

She needed surgery to remove bullet fragments from her feet and said Tory offered her $1 million to keep quiet about the incident because he was on probation.

Torrey’s lawyer claimed that the shots were actually fired by Megan’s ex-best friend Kelsey Harris in a jealous fight between the two women over Peterson, and claimed he tried to stop the gunfire.

“Meghan Peete is a liar. She lied about everything in this case from the beginning,” said attorney George Majdisian. “She lied here under oath.”

Harris said she did not fire the gun and that Tory did.

Toure, who was dressed in a pink coat and pants and handcuffed in court, did not react during the reading of the verdict.

But after the jury left the courtroom, the rapper’s father angrily yelled at the deputies.

“This evil regime is on trial before Almighty God!” he exclaimed, before calling the procurators “evil bad guys.”

Toure, 30, will be sentenced on January 27.

In a statement released after the sentencing, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon praised Megan’s “bravery,” and said she “displayed incredible courage and fragility” despite “repeated and outrageous attacks.”

“Women, especially black women, are afraid to report crimes like assault and sexual violence because they are often unbelievable,” Gascon said.
