(Amazon, $13)

Amazon’s top-of-the-line Fire TV stick max is currently 18 percent off in its Boxing Day sale. It’s 40 per cent faster than the cheaper Fire TV stick 4K (was £49.99, now £36.99, Amazon.co.uk), so apps load faster and everything feels smoother.

In fact, this is something our writer was particularly impressed with when he put it in our guide to the best streaming devices. They said, “We found that older generations of Fire TV devices were underpowered — apps stuttered, navigation often lags and felt unresponsive — but the newest version of the device addresses these issues with an improved processor and more efficient software.”

Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation): Was £249, now £239, Amazon.co.uk

(Amazon, $13)

One of the much sought after items this year was Apple’s AirPods Pro but don’t worry too much if you didn’t get the sleek white box in your inventory this year as there is still some hope this Boxing Day. Amazon has lowered the second generation by £10, so you can enjoy all the benefits of active noise cancellation, touch control and adaptive transparency – letting you let outside sounds in while reducing loud environmental noise. While the 4 percent discount is only a small saving, it’s worth noting that discounts are hard to come by through Apple — especially the AirPods — on products on sales, so if you’ve been eyeing them for a while, that might be the case. The best time to invest.

If you’re not freaked out by the Pro model, or a brand new box, the Mobile Phone 4 U sells a refurbished 3G kit, with a one-year warranty, for £59.99. At about half the price, it’s worth considering if the active noise cancellation and adaptive transparency features aren’t a deal-breaker for you.
