A Ugandan farmer with 102 children and 568 grandchildren has decided to stop raising his family due to the “rising cost of living”.
Musa Hasahiya, 67, from Lusaka, has told his 12 wives to start using contraceptives so the family can buy more food to eat, reports The Sun.
He said: “My income has decreased and decreased over the years due to the increase in the cost of living and my family has become larger and larger.
I married one woman after another.
How can a man be satisfied with one woman?
Polygamy is legal in Uganda, but all wives are “watched” in the same house to prevent them from running away with other men.
Adding to the financial strain, Musa was no longer able to work due to ill health, and two of his wives left due to financial problems.
“I don’t have any more children,” said Zuleika, his youngest wife and mother of 11 of his children.

“I saw the bad financial situation and now I’m on the pill.”
But contraceptives are taboo in the country, as they are often associated with promiscuity.
Musa’s children range in age from six to 51, and his eldest child is 21 years older than Zuleika.
