Earthquakes of magnitude 4.7 and 5.3 hit Baglung District, Nepal

Kathmandu [Nepal]28 (ANI): Two earthquakes measuring 4.7 and 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted Nepal’s Baglung district in the early hours of Wednesday, according to Nepal’s National Seismological Research Center (NEMRC).

According to the readings from the center, a 4.7-magnitude earthquake occurred around Adhikari Chaur in Baglung district at 01:23 (local time).

“Magnitude 4.7 earthquake occurred around Adhikari Chaur in Baglung district at 01:23 on 09/13/2079 NEMRC/DMG,” NEMRC tweeted.

The second quake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale was reported to have struck Konga district of Baglung district at 02:07 (local time), according to Nepal’s NEMRC website.

“A 5.3-magnitude earthquake occurred around Konga in Baglung District at 02:07 on 09/13/2079 NEMRC/DMG,” the tweet read.
