Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing has been hospitalized after a severe allergic reaction to his new puppy.

The reality star and podcaster was taken to A+E by his fiancee, Sophie Habboo, after he struggled to breathe and needed urgent attention.

She later shared the news on her Instagram Stories, telling fans: “Sorry MIA on Insta — I had the best Christmas and I hope you all did too.

“Jimmy was in the hospital on steroids as it turned out he had an allergic reaction to the new puppy and his asthma was out of control.

“As you can imagine I was very nervous for both of them,” she added.

“Going to the doctor tomorrow, so I’ll keep you posted. But sending all my love to everyone.”

Ling and Happo, who host the Nearlyweds podcast, announced they’ve expanded their family with the pup last week.

Ling – who was a finalist on Strictly in 2020 – shared photos cuddling the cuddly dog ​​in a blanket and revealing his name is Poppy.

“I’ve said no to a dog for a long time, but in the end I had to give in to Sophie’s constant nagging,” Ling joked in his Instagram post. “He pees everywhere, poops everywhere, she doesn’t know her name and ignores me, she sleeps all day and wakes up during the night, she wants to cuddle with Sophie and not me, but somehow I still find her irresistibly beautiful…

The new pup comes a year after announcing their engagement, surprising Ling Happo by decorating the restaurant where they had their first date with roses and petals for popping the question.

She later shared the happy news on Instagram and said, “We are getting married!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Ling replied, “I couldn’t think of anything better than spending the rest of my life with you @habboosophie.”

The couple has been together since 2019.
