Almaty, Kyrgyzstan on December 28, 2022 (WAM) – The European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) announced that a 5.7-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Almaty region of Kyrgyzstan today, Wednesday.
According to EMSC, the quake occurred at a depth of 40 kilometers (24.85 miles).
