The National Center of Seismology said that an earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale jolted Guwahati on Thursday noon.
The earthquake occurred at around 12.27 pm and the depth of the tremor was 10 km.

According to the National Space Station, the epicenter was 62 km northeast of Guwahati.
