A woman who lived in the same house where four University of Idaho students were killed said she saw a masked man dressed in black walking toward her, according to a detective.
Court documents showed that the unidentified female colleague said she was awakened by crying, opened her second-floor door around 4 a.m. and stood in “frozen shock” as the man walked past her towards the back door.
After seeing the male, she locked herself in her room.
The housemate, who was unhurt in the attack, described the male as 5 feet 10 inches or taller, “not very muscular, but athletically built with bushy eyebrows.”
After waking her up, she said she heard one of her housemates say something like, “There’s someone here.”
She said she later heard a male voice say something to the effect of “It’s okay, I’ll help you.”
Court documents also revealed that the DNA of Brian Kohberger, the man accused of stabbing Kylie Goncalves, Madison Maugen, Zanna Kernodel and Ethan Chapin to death on November 13, was found on a knife scabbard button at the crime scene.

In the affidavit, Police Corporal Brett Payne said phone data showed that Kohberger had visited the area near the home where they lived about ten times before the attack. He said that these apparent visits all occurred in the late evening or early morning hours.

The documents also said that video captured a white Elantra resembling a vehicle registered with Kohberger, which drove through the home three times on the night of the murders before the driver attempted to pull over.
About 15 minutes later, the car was seen leaving at “high speed”.
Extradition of a suspect from Pennsylvania to Idaho
Kohberger, a 28-year-old criminology student, was extradited from Pennsylvania, where he was arrested, to Idaho yesterday. He appeared in court today in Moscow, Idaho.

The suspect was charged with four counts of first degree murder and felony robbery.
His attorney in Pennsylvania said he was eager to clear him and called him an “ordinary guy”.
