Updated threat forecasts have warned that tsunamis of up to a meter above tidal level are possible for some coasts of Vanuatu.
Tsunamis are also expected to be less than 0.03 meters above the tide level for the coasts of New Caledonia and the Solomon Islands.
The updated threat forecast reads: “Tsunamis of up to 0.3 to 1 meter above tide level are possible on some coasts of Vanuatu.
“Tsunami waves are expected to be less than 0.3 meters above the tide level in the coasts of New Caledonia and the Solomon Islands.”
