New Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra storage size leak revives 128GB, three different leakers at loggerheads

The latest Samsung Galaxy S23 RAM and storage leak came from SnoopyTech, which has earned a reputation for providing accurate tech-related information. The leaker uses the codenames “DM1,” “DM2,” and “DM3” for the devices, with “Project Diamond” being the internal codename for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. According to tipster, the Galaxy S23 series will come in the following configurations:

DM1 – Samsung Galaxy S23: 8 GB + 128 GB, 8 GB + 256 GB DM2 – Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus: 8 GB + 256 GB, 8 GB + 512 GB DM3 – Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, possibly 12GB + 1TB model available via Samsung Store

While the use of codenames might provide an additional hint of credibility to the leak, the source avoided using such terms as “confirmed” or “official”. But this did not stop Ahmed Koueider, who had previously published a leak related to the memory + storage configuration with the qualification “official”. Koueider claimed there won’t be 128GB of storage anywhere, and while neither the Galaxy S23+ nor the Galaxy S23 Ultra are stuck with 128GB in the above leak, the Galaxy S23 is clearly there.

To confuse things a little more, another leaker, TheGalox_, has thrown another spanner in the works by confirming that both the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ will be charged with up to 512GB of storage. It seems that the three parties simply cannot agree on what Samsung has planned with the base model in the upcoming Galaxy S23 series:

SnoopyTech – 128GB option but no 512GB option (S23) Qwaider – no 128GB option and no 512GB option specifically mentioned (S23 / S23+) TheGalox – up to 512GB option ( S23/S23+)

The latest leak, from SnoopyTech, is certainly believable, as it would allow Samsung to launch the Galaxy S23 series with an “affordable” SKU in the lineup. Meanwhile, the 128GB option is omitted from the options for the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra models, while the former gets a better higher option than the 512GB variant, which also shows how Samsung upgraded its 2023 flagship smartphones over the previous year’s offering.
