Three dead snakes have been found near a lake in Scotland.
The Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) said a member of the public spotted the boa constrictor.
The charity said they were found next to rubbish bags in a bird spot, lying close to each other.
The SPCA added: “We are not sure what caused the death of these reptiles, but the conditions in which they were found are extremely worrying.”
“We are keen to ascertain what happened to these snakes and how they got there.”
The snakes were discovered near Carbeth Loch in Blanfield, Glasgow.

Boa constrictors are non-venomous snakes commonly found in tropical Central and South America.
They are powerful hunters and wear some of the most distinctive markings of all reptiles, according to National Geographic.
The Scottish SPCA has urged anyone with information about the snakes to contact the charity.
