Ranking of some of our favorite virtual racing cars

Game of the Week releases for all of our fans as part of the Eurogamer Essentials newsletter. There will be a slight change to the supporters program in the near future (don’t worry – it’s all good news) so stay tuned for more details, and thanks more than ever for your support – it’s greatly appreciated.

Another game of the week, and a hundred more words of indulgent nonsense — though I’ll be excused, I hope, by the fact that I’ve already written about the week’s most important release, The Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider. So let’s talk racing games instead for a change!

I fall into hype easily – which has come naturally to writing about video games – and at the moment all I can think about is the golden age of sports car racing that is just beginning to dawn. In an act of enthusiasm spilling over into stupidity, I’ve just bought tickets for the short trip to Florida so I can be there when everything gets off right in this year’s 24 Hours of Daytona, and I stayed up late last night. I’m even more excited and excited by running in the BMW LMDh with some friends who are preparing for the virtual version of the race that takes place next weekend.
