The Australian Open continues at Melbourne Park on Wednesday with favorites Novak Djokovic and Iga Swiatek winning the tennis season’s inaugural Grand Slam.

Djokovic has returned to the Australian Open after his dramatic deportation from the country 12 months ago, and is now looking to add to his 10th Melbourne title as well as a record-equalling 22nd Grand Slam title. He got off to a great start with a straight sets win over Roberto Karballes Baena.

Meanwhile, Swiatek will aim to continue in the footsteps of last season’s Australian Open champion Ash Barty. Swiatek replaced Barty as world number one after her shock retirement last season and won the French Open and US Open titles, with the Australian Open next on the list.

Andy Murray and Matteo Berrettini produced the championship match so far on Tuesday, as the 35-year-old slumped back to win an epic five-set match on Rod Laver Arena. Murray saved a match point before moving on to win the tiebreaker, knocking 13th seed Berrettini out of the tournament.

How to watch the 2023 Australian Open

You can watch the Australian Open live on Eurosport in the UK. The event will be broadcast on Eurosport TV channels, or fans can tune in to Discovery+ to broadcast the tournament, where the Entertainment & Sport card is available for £6.99 per month or £59.99 per year.

Sky has also announced that starting today, Discovery+ will be available at no additional cost to Sky customers, including Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers.

If you’re not already a Sky customer, you can get a Sky Stream box, which comes with Sky TV and the basic Netflix plan. The device is currently discounted in Sky’s Winter Sale (was £26 a month, now £24 a month, Sky.com). This is the new Sky device, it does not require a satellite dish as it broadcasts Sky live over wifi.

Meanwhile, ESPN owns the rights in the United States.
